To provide a power supply device which can be controlled to have an output voltage rising and falling fast while a driving frequency is controlled without exceeding a resonance frequency.
The power supply device has a piezoelectric transformer 101 which generates voltage output, rectifying elements (102, 103, and 104) which rectify, smooth, and output the voltage output from the piezoelectric transformer 101 to a load, a comparing element (109) which compares the output voltage output by the rectifying element with an input control voltage (Vcont), a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) 110 capable of controlling the driving frequency to be output according to the output voltage output by the comparing element, and piezoelectric transformer driving elements (111, 112) which drive the piezoelectric transformer according to the driving frequency controlled by the voltage-controlled oscillator, and is equipped with frequency modulating elements (124, 137) for modulating the driving frequency of the voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) 110 according to an input frequency modulation signal (Fcont).
