PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use both power supply unit and other power sources to supply power to a load, simply and properly.SOLUTION: A power supply device 2 includes a distributed power source (for example, a storage battery) 51 for supplying electric power to a load 52, a power supply unit 10, and a monitoring control section 40. The power supply unit 10 has constant power dropping characteristics of dropping an output voltage Vo and increasing an output current Io when the output current Io exceeds a predetermined value, and supplies electric power to the load 52. The monitoring control section 40 controls constant power dropping characteristics of the power supply unit 10, calculates a load power PI, and controls a dropping power that is a maximum output power of the power supply unit 10, in accordance with the calculated load power PI.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
