PURPOSE: To stabilize printing quality, by a method wherein recording electrodes are divided into M+1 pieces of blocks so that the recording electrodes are contained in the same block M-pieces (M≥3) apart and a current is supplied in a time sharing manner at every block to perform recording so that the current supply orders of adjacent blocks are only separated within the second at the max.
CONSTITUTION: A recording head moves while in contact with the current supply layer 2 of a power supply recording sheet 1. Herein, when a printing timing signal is given from a control circuit 10, the transistor 9a connected to the recording electrode 5a belonging to a block (a) is selectively driven at first corresponding to an image signal and a current passes through the current supply layer 2 of the power supply recording sheet 1 from the recording electrode 5a to flow to a return electrode 6 and heat is generated in the power supply layer 2 in the vicinity of the electrode 5a and the ink layer 3 of the recording sheet 1 is melted to be transferred. Thereafter, when a current is similarly supplied in the order of electrodes 5e, 5b, 5d, 5c, since the power supply orders of the adjacent recording electrodes 5 are only separated within second order at the max., shift between the power supply timings of the adjacent electrodes is limited within the max. of 2/5 T. Therefore, the positional shift between adjacent pixels can be suppressed low and a recorded line becomes smooth.
