Title:
STEEL SPHERE DISTRIBUTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3170108
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a steel sphere distributor for a steel sphere scattering type dust removing apparatus in which soot dust adhered to a heat transfer surface of a heat exchanger can be removed.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary chute 5 distributes steel spheres to a plurality of steel sphere distribution ports 1 provided at an outer periphery of a lower body via a plurality of steel sphere receivers 3a, 3b while rotating the balls at a high speed via a driver 6. As compared with a conventional apparatus, the spheres are distributed in a very short period, and hence a similar result to that the spheres can be uniformly and continuously distributed to be similarly all the ports 1 is obtained. Since part 3a of the plurality of sphere receiving units are larger in an insertion opening area than that of the other 3b, many spheres are concentrically scattered to a specific part of a heat exchanger, and a large quantity of soot dust stuck is also effectively removed. When sphere receivers 3a, 3b are rotated by the driver 7, a heat exchanger in which many spheres are concentrically scattered is sequentially moved, and hence soot dust adhered in a large quantity can be effectively removed in an entire heat exchanger.
