To provide a power tool which prevents uneven wear of a ratchet sawtooth pawl caused in a fixed ratchet due to the deflection of a resin inner cover part and improves the efficiency of drilling work in a vibrating drill power tool having a fixed ratchet (second ratchet) engaged with a rotating ratchet (first ratchet) at the inner cover part of a resin molded body.

A ratchet stretching part 8c for increasing a contact surface with the inner cover part 1b is formed on the second ratchet 8, and the deflection of the inner cover part 1b generated in hitting of the ratchet is reduced by sandwiching the ratchet stretching part 8c between the inner cover part 1b and a gear cover part 1c, thereby to prevent the uneven wear of the second ratchet 8.
