Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the strength by welding gears at a socket and spigot joint section between the external end face of a large gear and the empty room formed between the outer circumference face of the shaft section of a small gear and a groove formed on the inner circumference face of the hole of the large gear. CONSTITUTION:On the inner circumference face of the hole 4 of a large gear 1, a groove 7 having the inner bottom face 7a of which diameter D2 is large than the root diameter D1 of a small gear 2 and smaller than its addendum diameter D3 is formed. An empty room 9 is formed between the groove 7 and a groove 8 opposed to the groove 7 on the outer circumference face of the shaft section 3 of the smaller gear 2. To a socket and spigot joint section F between the empty room 9 and the external end face 1b of the large gear 1, electronic welding is applied. As a result, because of the empty room 9 at the socket and spigot joint section F, the back bead of a welding section 6 can be formed readily, and such welding fault as crack or the like can be avoided improving the strength of the gear.
