Abstract:
To provide a power transmission system capable of reducing the number of components and properly performing calculation of detection processing, and a foreign substance detection device.SOLUTION: A power transmission unit 1A comprises a power transmission coil 20A which transmits power in a non-contact manner, and sensor elements 71A each of which is provided in the power transmission coil 20A at the side of a power transmission unit 1B and capable of detecting a metal foreign substance. The power transmission unit 1B comprises a power transmission coil 20B which receives power transmitted from the power transmission coil 20A, and a sensor element 71B which is provided in the power transmission coil 20B at the side of the power transmission unit 1A and capable of detecting a metal foreign substance. A detection range of each of the sensor elements 71A and the sensor element 71B are displaced in a view in an opposing direction and each of the sensor elements is capable of detecting a metal foreign substance between the power transmission unit 1A and the power transmission unit 1B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
