To provide a tablet having good elutability by preventing pravastatin sodium of a principal agent in the tablet from being transmuted by the change to a lactone isomer.

There are two methods for producing the pravastatin sodium tablet by using a material in neutral or at pH ≥9 as a diluting component of the tablet, and the pH of an aqueous dispersion of a medicinal composition containing the pravastatin is <9 in the methods. One is the method comprising using the pravastatin sodium and the diluting component having the pH ≥9, producing granules by a wet granulation, and tableting the obtained granules. The other is the method comprising directly tableting a medicinal composition comprising the pravastatin sodium, the neutral diluting agent and other commonly used components. The pravastatin sodium tablets tableted by these methods suppress the increase of the lactone isomer for a long period, keep the stability, and have the good elutability.
