Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader which can automatically continue the supply of service, when an installed place is changed and appropriately executes the processing of settlement data.
SOLUTION: A present address storage part 28a of a reader 11 stores a present physical address, a principal address storage part 28b stores the physical address before a shift and a sub-address storage part 28c stores the physical address after the shift. A principal storage part 28d stores settlement data consumed in an installed position corresponding to the physical address which the principal address storage part 28b shows. A sub-storage part 28e stores the settlemenet data consumed in the installed position, corresponding to the physical address which the sub-address storage part 28c shows. The stored content of the principal address storage part 28b and that of the principal storage part 28d are made to correspond, and they are transmitted to a host device. The principal storage part 28d, the sub-address storage part 28c and the sub- storage part 28e are initialized after transmission, and the present address is set in the principal address storage part 28b.
