Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prepare the titled royal jelly having the retained flavor of the raw royal jelly, improved nutritive value and keeping quality and stabilized quality, by mixing honey with a high fructose content with the raw royal jelly, and concentrating the resultant mixture.

CONSTITUTION: About 50% honey, e.g. honey obtained from an acasia, with a high fructose content and scarcely crystallizable is added to a raw royal jelly, and the resultant mixture is then concentrated in a vacuum concentrating vessel at a liquid temperature of 30W45°C and vacuum degree of 10W50mmHg to a saccharide content of 60W65 degrees (an index measured by a refractive saccharimeter) to prepare a modified royal jelly containing the honey.
