PURPOSE: To prepare olefin polymer with excellent catalyst activity and stereo regularity by a method wherein olefin is polymerized in the presence of a catalyst comprising a composite material containing Mg, halogen, on electron-donor compound, Ti and two kinds of a specific organoaluminum compound.
CONSTITUTION: A composite material (A) obtained by grinding an Mg compound, a halogen-containing Ti compound and an electron-donor compound together, an organoaluminum compound (B) selected from an organoaluminum compound represented by a formula RmAlH3-m (wherein R is 1W12C hydrocarbon residue; m is 2W3) and an organoaluminum compound having two or more of Al bound mutually with O or N and an organoaluminum compound (C) having Al-O-C bond such as (C2H5)2Al(OC2H5), (C2H5)2Al(O-C2H4OC2H5) or the like are com pounded to obtain a catalyst. In the presence of this catalyst, olefin is polymerized at 0W150°C under olefin partial presure of 0.1W100kg/cm2.
