Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stably provide the subject compound having excellent antibacterial activity against gram positive and negative bacteria by reacting a 2,3- dioxopiperazine derivative with a penicillin derivative obtained by reacting a penicillin derivative with carbon dioxide.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula II obtained by reacting a compound of formula I (R1 is trimethylsilyl or cleavable ester-protecting group; R2 is alkyl) with CO2 is a 2,3-dioxopiperazine derivative of formula III as an acylating agent to provide the objective compound of formula IV.
