PURPOSE: To take an accurate pressure-resistance test by using a guide chip so as to align the centers of a seal chip and the center of the hole surface of a hose joint with each other and also using a pressure application system exclusive for sealing so as to adjust the pushing pressure of each seal chip to proper and uniform pressure.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of the guide cap 10 is moved by a cylinder 13 to the hose joint 2 set on a joint supporting base 11 to cover the guide surface 22 of the joint 2. Here, when their centers are not aligned with each other, the cap 10 abuts on the joint 2 and the cylinder 13 stops operating, so that an alarm is generated. Then when the cap surface 10 covers the guide surface 22, the seal chip 9 fitted to a piston 14 is pushed out with high-pressure water for sealing from a high-pressure water supply hole 17 for sealing, so the hole surface 21 of the joint 2 is sealed with the hole surface 31 of the chip 9. This piston 14 is fitted independently to each chip 9, so it advances until prescribed pressure is reached, so that no irregular pushing pressure is obtained. Then the high-pressure water is supplied from a water-proof water supply hole 18 to conduct the pressure-resistance test. Thus, the pressure- resistance test is accurately conducted.
