Abstract:
To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive that improves the effect of lamination of a polyvinyl alcohol film and a triacetyl cellulose film and thereby enhances the nondefective ratio in the lamination process and the quality of a polarizer.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive is formed from an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol and an aldehyde substance with addition of a catalyst for accelerating the reaction, wherein the aldehyde substance is glyoxal, the addition amount of the glyoxal is 0.01-5 wt%, and the concentration of the aqueous solution of the polyvinyl alcohol is about 1-10 wt%.
