NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (Y is H, 1W3C lower alkyl, halogen, etc.; R1 and R2 are H, 1W4C lower alkyl, cyclohexyl, etc.; R3 is 1W3C lower alkyl or phenyl) and its salt.
EXAMPLE: 2-Acetamido-3-[(β-dimethylaminoethyl)thio]-4'-nitropropiophenone.
USE: A preventive and curing agnet for an oomycetes cousing disease of crusacean. Effective against a disease caused by oomycetes, e.g., fungi of the genus Lagenidium, Haliphthoros, etc. living in the spat and larva of a crusacean, e.g., a crob, a lobster, etc. A compound shown by the formula I or its salt is added to a tank to make a 1W100ppm solution, in which the infected crusacean is immersed.
PROCESS: A compound shown by the formula II is reacted with a compound shown by the formula III in a solvent, e.g., benzene, ethanol, etc. preferably 60W80°C for 0.5W8 hours to give a compound shown by the formula I.
