Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer material which has excellent workability when coated, stably gives an excellent antioxidizing effect and is useful for oxidation prevention.
SOLUTION: This primer material for oxidation prevention is used for a primer layer 2 formed between the surface of a refractory 1 and an anti- oxidizing layer 3 covering the surface of the refractory 1, and comprises a slurry composition containing alumina powder as a main component and bentonite in an amount of 0.1-5.0 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the alumina powder. The primer layer 2 has an action for improving the wettability of an antioxidizing material on the surface of the refractory 1, when the film of the antioxidizing material is thermally melted to form the antioxidizing layer 3.
