A host computer 9 connected to a printer 11 through a network performs setting 'nt immediately print' in job information attached to job data when the job data transmitted to the printer 11 has no direction for immediately printing. When a direction for immediately printing is given, an inquiry about whether the job information is saved or not is made to the printer 11, and then the job saving information returned from the printer 11 is displayed on a display part. A plurality of job data are selected from the displayed job saving information by the operator, and the job data to which the job information is attached is transmitted to the printer 11.
