In this print system provided with a glossiness setting portion selection means and a glossiness setting means by which a user sets a desired glossiness, a color print controller performs printing based on the glossiness set by rasterization for outputting a desired print result when rasterization is not carried out yet on print data sent from a host device. When the print data sent from the host device is rasterized already, the color print controller performs printing based on the set glossiness without performing rasterization.
