To shorten the total printing time when a plurality of sheets are used for continuously printing in a printing apparatus for performing printing processing on a sheet of printing paper using an ink ribbon.
A printer apparatus is equipped with: an image data processing part 122 for performing data processing for forming printing data; a printing processing part 154 for printing the printing paper in accordance with the printing data fed from the image data processing part 120; a paper feeding and discharging part 158 for feeding the printing paper to the printing processing part 154 and discharging the printing paper printed by the printing processing part; and a controlling part 183 for controlling operations of these respective parts. When printing continuously different data is set, and the printing processing by the printing processing part 154 is finished, the controlling part 183 starts a processing for forming the printing data to be next printed by the printing processing part 154 by the image data processing part 122, and controls paper discharging of the printing paper printed from the printing processing part 154 by the paper feeding and discharging part 158.
