Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which printing time becomes longer depending on the contents of a job if the printing order of printing of one surface of a two-sided printing page and printing of a single-sided printing page is changed for the job including the single-sided printing page and the two-sided printing page continuous to the single-sided printing page.SOLUTION: A printer capable of performing two-sided printing and single-sided printing selects first printing control for executing printing in accordance with a printing order instructed in a job which includes a single-sided printing page and a two-sided printing page continuous to the single-sided printing page or second printing control for executing printing of the single-sided printing page after executing printing of a page to be printed on a first surface of a sheet of the two-sided printing page prior to printing of the single-sided printing page, and performs control to execute the job in accordance with the selected first or second printing control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
