To provide a printer which can improve a display quality, and to provide a printing method.
An inkjet printer 11 has a front discharge head 23 arranged on a front face 12a side to a printing paper 12, and a rear discharge head 26 arranged on a rear face 12b side to the printing paper 12. The front discharge head 23 has a plurality of nozzles which can deliver a pigment ink. The rear discharge head 26 has a plurality of nozzles which can discharge a permeable liquid. The front discharge head 23 and the rear discharge head 26 can operate synchronously (for example, in terms of a timing to discharge, and scanning movement). In other words, the pigment ink can be discharged from the front face 12a to the same position via the printing paper 12 as a position where the permeable liquid is discharged from the rear face 12b of the printing paper 12.
