To obtain a printer system in which print information generated at the time of print processing, e.g. print document information, user name, host name, print date, specified sheet size, number of print sheets, number of copies, specification of print conditions, and the like, is stored in a mass storage provided in a printer, the print information is operated from the host side by a command, and the print information is utilized in charging operation, and the like, on the host side.

The printer system comprises a mass storage, and means for storing print information in the mass storage. Means for referring, extracting or deleting the print information stored in the mass storage on the printer side, as required, is provided on the host computer side. Furthermore, means utilizing taken out print information for charging operation is provided.
