Abstract:
To provide a printer that enables power saving.SOLUTION: A printer includes a printing unit that is driven by power supply from a battery that is rechargeable by a charging IC. A CPU sets a mode in a printing mode in which the printing unit performs printing (S5). The CPU sets a mode in a lower power mode whose power consumption amount in the whole printer is lower than the printing mode in a state where the printing unit stops printing (S13, S19). When the charging IC recharges the battery (S11: YES), the CPU sets a mode in a first low power mode which is a lower power mode where the charging IC is driven at a first SW frequency (S13). When the charging IC stops the recharging of the battery (S11: NO), the CPU sets a mode in a second lower power mode which is a lower power mode where the charging IC is driven at a second SW frequency lower than the first SW frequency (S19).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
