Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilized printer excellent in operability in which both data input operation and maintenance operation are facilitated.
SOLUTION: A top plate 20 on which data input work can be performed while mounting at least a keyboard 6 and a display CRT is set on the upper surface of a housing 1 being opened/closed from the front side and incorporating a print unit 11. In such a printer, a foot space S is provided under the front section 20b of the top plate 20 by forming it integrally while projecting forward of the housing 1 and means for sliding the top plate 20 between the work position and a retracting position is provided in order to retract the front section 20b of the top plate 20 above the housing 1 at the retracting position.
