Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate the necessity of positioning a movable unit in the vicinity of a stationary unit by means of a lock mechanism of complicated mechanism in a printer provided with paper feed mechanisms and image printing mechanisms on the stationary unit and the movable unit forming a paper feed line in a clearance.
CONSTITUTION: A coil spring 20 or the like is provided for the purpose of exciting a movable unit 17 supported movably by a unit support mechanism such as a support shaft 5 or the like toward a stationary unit 16, and a movement control mechanism 23 for controlling the movement range of the movable unit 17 is provided in the allowable range of elasticity limit of the spring.
