PURPOSE: To print a desired page on the side of a printer even if a person ready to perform printing does not remember a page necessary for printing.

CONSTITUTION: When an operator on the side of a printer 30 inputs the expression contained in the page concerned as page indication data 32 from a page indication means 31, the printing data 15 inputted from an input means 14 is compared in a record unit by a page selection means 35 and, in the case of coincidence, a detection signal 38 is inputted to a page forming means 39. The page forming means 39 stores the printing data 43 of the page concerned stored in a page buffer means 42 in a magnetic disk 44 and an output processing means 45 performs the printing of this page to obtain printed matter 27.
