Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the operation of a feed motor by always starting the rotor of the feed motor from a step position where the acceleration characteristics of the rotor are best.
SOLUTION: The initial step position Si of the rotor of a feed motor at a time when the leading end of paper reaches a feeding position Pk is detected (Step 1) and the number of draw-in steps Sh corresponding to a blank portion is added to the initial step position Si (Step 2) and the added value is divided by the number of steps per one rotation of the feed motor to calculate residual ΔS (Step 3) and the residual ΔS is added to the initial step position Si to calculate a step position Sa and the shift from the step position Sa to the best step position Sb in a forward rotary direction is calculated as the corrected number of steps St (Step 4) and the feed motor is driven from the initial step position Si by the quantity corresponding to the value calculated by adding the corrected number of steps St to the number of draw-in steps Sh corresponding to the blank portion to feed out paper (Steps 5, 6).
