PURPOSE: To prevent the hooking of the leading end part of printing paper with the shaft of a bail roller by guiding the printing paper wider than a third paper guide to the gap between the bail roller and a platen by a fourth paper guide.
CONSTITUTION: Fourth paper guides 13 each composed of a linear member such as a wire are provided to both end parts of a roller shaft 10 so as to be freely shakable in the axial direction of a platen 2. These fourth paper guides 13 guide the recording paper guided by a second paper guide 8 to a bail roller 9 and are arranged at both end parts of the platen 2. The recording paper wider than a third paper guide 12 is guided to the gap between the bail roller 9 and the platen 2 by the fourth paper guides 13 and the hooking of the leading end part of the recording paper with the shaft 10 of the bail roller 9 is prevented.
