Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce generation of color irregularity caused by the scan direction even when two-way color printing is performed by different amounts.
SOLUTION: Two sets of recording heads each capable of applying relatively large dots and relatively small dots of cyan(C), magenta(M), and yellow(Y) inks, are arranged symmetrically in the scan direction. Pixels of secondary color levels 6, 4, 2 to be disposed in a plurality in the raster R1, 2, 3 directions are formed with the ink applying order changed (C→M and M→C). Thereby, since the plurality of the secondary color pixels disposed in the raster direction have a different ink applying order, the applying order can be the same in forming the pixels either in the forward path or in the backward path. Therefore, generation of color irregularity caused by the ink applying order can be reduced.
