PURPOSE: To reduce the buffer capacity on a computer side and t obtain accurate reprinted results, by providing a buffer to each printing device.

CONSTITUTION: A printing device equipped with a reprinting mechanism consists of an electronic computer 1 and printer device 5' composed of a printer device 8 and its controlling section 6'. Data to be printed are produced at the application program 2 of the computer 1 and sent to the prescribed printer device 5', by which the data are printed. In this invention, a data buffer 10 is connected with the printer device controlling section 6' of the printer device 5' through a data registrating/reading out section 9 after a data converting section 7. Accordingly, data sent to the printer device 5' are converted by the data converting section 7 of the controlling section 6' and printed. At the same time, the converted data are stored in the data buffer 10. Therefore, the stored data are fetched when an error occurs in the printer device 5', and so forth, and reprinted with a proper printing format.
