To provide a printing machine, in which a safety bar and a plate press roll are united in a body and consequently their installation space is reduced and, even if their working positions are changed, the safety bar and the plate press roll are automatically set to their changed working positions.

In a rotary printing machine 1 equipped with a printing part 6 with a plate cylinder 15, to which a press plate is mounted, and a blanket cylinder 17, moving parts 33, each of which advances to and retreats from the printing part 6, lever parts 35, each of which extends to the printing part 6 side and is rockable normal to a straight line connecting the axis line of the plate cylinder 15 and that of the blanket cylinder 17 in each of the moving parts 33, safety bar mechanisms 37, each of which stops the printing machine by detecting its abutting against a substance by being mounted in the lever parts 35, and plate press rolls 39 mounted on the printing part 6 side of the safety bar mechanisms 37 in the lever parts 35 are equipped.
