Abstract:
To remove print waiting caused by congestion of a printer or the like.
Print data from an application program 101 are received by a virtual printer 102 wherein a plurality of printers are registered with the order of priority determined beforehand. In the virtual printer 102, operation states of each printer 206-208 are confirmed, and a printer printable and having the highest order of priority is selected. The print data are transmitted from the virtual printer 102 to a printer driver of the printer printable and having the highest order of priority, to thereby allow the printer to print the data.
