Abstract:

To provide a method of determining the priority of a management object of a device management system containing management object data in a management tree for maintaining a prepared device management server and management customer device.

The contents of a subobject contained in at least one management object of the management tree are determined, and then the management server determines a data element containing the priority data of the subobject related to the other subobjects. The data element is added to the management tree stored by the management server, and a file definition is transmitted to the management customer device according to the management tree. The management customer device disassembles the file definition in a management tree form such that the priority data indicates the priority data of the subobject related to the other subobjects.
