A private power generation system includes: an AC output circuit 26 for supplying power from the private generating power supply apparatus 18 to a transmission/distribution line 12 and to house wiring 16; a first charge circuit 28 for charging a storage battery 20 with power from the private generating power supply apparatus 18; a second charge circuit 30 for charging the storage battery 20 with power received from the transmission/distribution line 12; a discharge circuit 32 for supplying power in the storage battery 20 to the house wiring 16; and a connection switching circuit 22 for switching between a first connection mode of connecting the private generating power supply apparatus 18 to the storage battery 20 via the first charge circuit 28 and connecting the storage battery 20 to the house wiring 16 via the discharge circuit 32, and a second connection mode of connecting the private generating power supply apparatus 18 to the transmission/distribution line 12 via the AC output circuit 26, connecting the storage battery 20 to the transmission/distribution line 12 via the second charge circuit 30, and connecting the storage battery 20 to the house wiring 16 via the discharge circuit 32.
