Abstract:
To provide a process for producing an optically active amine compound by asymmetrically hydrogenating a prochiral carbon-nitrogen double bond in the presence of a ruthenium complex having a ruthenabicyclo structure.
A process for producing an optically active amine compound is characterized by asymmetrically hydrogenating a prochiral carbon-nitrogen double bond in the presence of a ruthenium complex represented by the specified general formula (1) or (2), where P-P represents an optically active diphosphine, X represents an anionic group, and Ar represents an optionally substituted arylene group.
