Abstract:
To reduce a load on a worker by automatically controlling a direction of a foremost merchandise to allow a front surface part of a foremost merchandise to face a front side.SOLUTION: A merchandise direction control device is applied to a merchandise storage section 1 for storing merchandises W in alignment in a front and rear direction and allowing the merchandise W to be visually recognized from a front side. The device includes: a turning drive section 11 arranged to have contact with a foremost merchandise W stored in a front end part of the merchandise storage section 1, so as to turn a foremost merchandise W around its central axis when performing driving; an imaging section 12 for acquiring information of a part facing a front side in a foremost merchandise W; and a direction control section 13 for driving the turning drive section 11 so as to allow the imaging section 12 to acquire information related to a detected portion M given to a front surface part of a foremost merchandise W.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
