Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound useful as an intermediate for synthesizing a dye, especially an azo dye, a plant protector and a pharmaceutically active compound by reacting an iminoether with a halogenating agent and thiourea.
CONSTITUTION: An iminoether (salt) of formula I {R3 is an alkyl, an alkenyl, an aryl, an alkynyl or a heterocyclic group; R4 is cyano, formula II [R5 is H, SR9 (R9 is H, an alkyl, alkenyl or the like), OR9 or the like], SO2R6 (R6 is an alkyl, an alkenyl or the like) or the like} is made to react with a halogenating agent and thiourea to obtain a compound of formula III. The examples of the compound includes 2-amino-4-methoxy-5-cyanothiazole.
