Title:
PRODUCTION OF ALLYL ALCOHOLS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3444059
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an industrially advantageous method for producing allyl alcohols using diallyl ethers as a raw material by which the application can be made even to a hydrating and dimerizing reactional solution containing the diallyl ethers as by-products.
CONSTITUTION: Heat treatment is carried out under converting reactional conditions in which the value of a function F represented by the following formula is within the range of 0≤F<100 the concentration of allyl alcohols in a converting reactional solution is ≤20wt.% and the Pd concentration in the converting reactional solution is within the range of 0.005-1.0wt.% in the method for producing the allyl alcohols comprising heat-treating diallyl ethers in the presence of a catalyst containing a palladium compound and a phosphorus compound and converting the diallyl ethers into the allyl alcohols. the formula F=θt.[Pd].(T-100) {θt is the converting reactional time (hr); [Pd] is the Pd concentration (wt.%) in the converting reactional solution; T is the converting reactional temperature (°C)}.
