Abstract:

To provide a method for producing an amide from the oxime by using a catalyst excellent in catalytic activity and selectivity, not substantially changing and recoverable by heat treatment.

This method for producing an amide from the oxime comprises bringing a vaporous oxime into contact with a catalyst of a silica-alumina which has a molar ratio of SiO,/Al2O2. of 30-5,000, at least 500m2/g surface area, 0.3-1.3ml/g total pore volume, is substantially amorphous and has very small or middle pores.
