Title:
PRODUCTION OF BOTTOMED HOLLOW BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6021174
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce easily a bottomed hollow body having the wall thickness sufficient for required physical strength by constituting a male mold of a material having elastic deformability, coating a low-melting metal to the required part on the outside circumferential surface thereof, solidifying said metal and removing the soldified metal.

CONSTITUTION: A polyurethane male die 1 which consists of a supporting part 2 and a molding part 3 and of which the outside circumferential surface consists of a long- necked bottle shape is used. Said mold 1 is dipped in a molten bath of a low melting alloy to deposit said alloy on the mold and is then dried to form a deposited layer 4 over the entire outside circumferential surface of the upper part of the supporting part 2 and the part 3. The layer 4 is then removed by utilizing the elastic deformation performance of the mold 1 and a core for a molding die which is an intended product is obtd.
