Abstract:
To produce inexpensive calcium acetate in simple production process and high productivity by reacting powdery quicklime with an aqueous solution of acetic acid having a prescribed concentration in a prescribed amount ratio.
Quicklime is mixed with an aqueous solution of acetic acid having ≥50wt.% concentration in 2.1-3 molar ratio of CH3COOH/CaO to produce a powdery or paste-like material and the mixture is dried to produce the objective calcium acetate.
