Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a colorless high-purity chromene compound from a chromanol compound.
CONSTITUTION: A chromene compound is produced by dehydrating a chromanol compound in the presence of 50-1,000 pts.wt. (based on 100 pts.wt. of the chromanol compound) of an alumina preferably having an acidity (pH) of 3-10.
