Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a colored stainless steel braid having superior adhesion of the coating film, fine appearance and superior quality by forming a film by chemical treatment on an iron plating layer formed on a stainless steel base and carrying out color coating on the film.
CONSTITUTION: A base 1 of stainless steel such as SUS430 is plated with iron to form an iron plating layer 2. This layer 2 is chemically treated to form a zinc phosphate film 3 having high smoothness. Color coating is then carried out on the film 3 to form a colored coating film 4. This film 4 has high adhesion and colored stainless steel braid 5 having fine luster, vividness, superior peeling resistance, fine appearance and superior quality.
