Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a cylindrical container at a low cost by turning a cylindrical container after gelation of a resin and by irradiating ultraviolet rays with an unforced air-cooled ultraviolet lamp while spraying water inside the container.

CONSTITUTION: Unsaturated polyesters mixed with a polymerizable monomer such as styrene or products obtained by the reaction of a polyepoxide with an unsaturated monobasic acid in the presence of addition catalyst are molded to produce a cylindrical container by leaving aline after gelation. With this cylindrical container 1 placed on a revolver 5 an unforced air-cooled ultraviolet lamp 2 is switched on and at the same time water is sprayed by a water sprayer 4. And the cylindrical container is turned around at the speed of irradiating ultraviolet rays inside the container for 10W60 seconds. After irradiating the entire inside, the ultraviolet lamp and water are cut and the cylindrical container is disconnected to give a finished product. Thus, because unreacted organic compounds in the products can be reduced at a short time, they are suitable for food container use.
