PURPOSE: To obtain a food having an excellent effect for the promotion of health, facilitating the penetration of the taste, and diluting the smell of the devil's tongue to facilitate the eating of the product by mixing fine devil's tongue power with water, laminaria or WAKAME seaweed and subsequently coagulating the mixture.

CONSTITUTION: Fine devil's tongue powder is mixed with water and laminaria or WAKAME seaweed, stirred, mixed with a coagulating agent and subsequently stirred. Concretely, e.g. ground dry laminaria of WAKAME seaweed is added in an amount of 23% on the devil's tongue or in an amount of 18% on the WAKAME seaweed to 70°C water, stirred, and subsequently mixed with the devil's tongue with stirring to swell the mannan. The mixture is further mixed with a calcium hydroxide aqueous solution as a coagulating agent, stirred and left for 20-25hrs to age the product. Finally the product is cut, packed in a film bag, and subsequently sterilized at 80°C. The coagulating agent is preferably used in an amount of e.g. 0.2-0.3%.
