PURPOSE: To obtain a strip sutable for magnetic head, etc., because of high saturated magnetic flux density, excellent magnetic permeability and high hardness.
CONSTITUTION: In a chamber 10 evacuated, a cooling roll 11 and a nozzle 17 and set and on surface of the cooling roll 11 rotation-driven, molten metal of Fe series soft magnetic alloy shown in the following formulas 1, 2, 3, 4 is sprayed to produce the Fe-series soft magnetic alloy strip. (formula 1) (Fe1-a Coa)b BxTyT' z, (formula 2) FebBxTyT'z, (formula 3) (Fe1-aCoa)bBxTy, (formula 4) FebBxTy, wherein, T: one or more kinds selected from group of Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Mo and W and containing either or both of Zr and Hf, T': one or more kinds of elements selected from group of Cu, Ag, Au, Ni, Pd and Pt, a ≤atm. 0.05, b≤92atm%, x=0.5-16atm%, y=4-10atm%, z≤4.5atm%.
