Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a fine nickel powder which is not a skeletal grain by pyrolysis.
CONSTITUTION: An anhydrous nickel formate formed directly from its soln. is pyrolyzed at 160-300°C in a nonoxidizing atmosphere and in vacuum to produce a fine nickel powder having 50-300nm primary grain diameter, 2-20m2/g specific surface and ≤5,000 nm aggregated grain diameter.
