Title:
PRODUCTION OF FOAMED VINYL CHLORIDE RESIN LEATHER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2591700
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a foamed vinyl chloride resin leather having softness, high elasticity and excellent strength by laminating a specific composition to a substrate and foaming under normal pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A composition containing a vinyl chloride polymer (preferably having an average molecular weight of ≥2,500), a plasticizer, a foaming agent (preferably azodicarbonamide, etc.) and a radical initiator (preferably an organic peroxide or an azobis compound) is laminated to a substrate and foamed under atmospheric pressure to obtain a foamed vinyl chloride resin leather composed of chemically crosslinked vinyl chloride polymer, having excellent strength, softness and elasticity and exhibiting soft surface-feeling. Since the leather has excellent interlaminar bond strength, it is suitable as a material for shoe vamp and bag.
