Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an organopolysiloxane suitable for curable resins, good in reproducibility, and wide in a range enabling to design the performance of the product without generating (micro) gels by subjecting a specific organic silicon compound to a hydrolytic condensation reaction.
CONSTITUTION: This method for producing a hydrolyzable functional group- containing organopolysiloxane comprises subjecting an organic alkoxysilane or organic alkoxypolysilane containing a compound of the formula [R1 is a (substituted) alkyl, a (substituted) alkenyl, a (substituted) aryl; X is a 1-10C alkoxy; Y is a 2-10C alkoxy different from X wherein the hydrolysis rate is smaller than the hydrolysis rate of X; (a) is 0-2; (b), (c) are 0.1-3; (a)+(b)+(c)≤4][e.g. (CH3)Si(OC3H7)(OCH3)2] in an amount of ≥50% based on the whole raw materials to a hydrolytic condensation reaction.
