Title:
PRODUCTION OF INK JET HEAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3564864
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively produce an ink jet head equipped with terminals capable of being certainly connected to an external drive circuit in large quantities only by bonding and cutting respective substrates having patterning applied thereto at proper places.
SOLUTION: Recessed parts 70 becoming a part of the emitting parts of a plurality of ink jet heads are arranged on a first substrate 1 in a row and terminals 17, 23 for supplying a signal or power to the pressure generating means provided to the emitting parts of the respective ink jet heads are arranged and formed at the positions adjacent to the respective emitting parts. A plurality of second substrates having width almost corresponding to the length in the row direction of the emitting parts are bonded to the positions covering the recessed parts 70 of the first substrate to form the respective emitting parts and, thereafter, the substrates are cut and separated between the terminals 17, 23 related to the respective emitting parts and the emitting parts adjacent thereto in the row direction to obtain individual ink jet heads.
